Hailee Steinfeld

None of the Oscar looks this year got me super-excited, except for Hailee Steinfeld's. Not only is the dress absolutely lovely, but it's wonderfully age-appropriate and she looks like a princess.

She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in True Grit, a movie that I loved.

When I first found this photo, I was like, "oh great, she already has a boyfriend..." but then I found out that he is her brother. : )

Perfect, shiny peep-toes...

And Converse for the party afterwards--so cute.

After finding the Academy Awards photos, I then found a whole slew of other photos in which she was radiantly adorable and stylish.

Yay! I'm not crazy about the dress, but the shoes and clutch are darling.

Wild. But just the sort of thing a slender 14-year-old can pull off. ; )

I love her hair... it makes me wish mine was still that long...

She's so lovely in a young, unique, and adorable way.

Polka dots! Love.

I think it's so awesome that she's only 14 and she's such a great actress and she's adorable and stylish. I hope she survives growing up in Hollywood... :P

p.s. while writing this, I've been watching Tangled, because my awesome mama bought it for me today. :)

  6. I can't wait to see some of the movies this girl will be apart of! I'm actually really excited for her career and also hoping she'll make it, I've heard she was homeschooled...

On a side note, some of these pictures made me think of Megan Follows. They've got the same smile! Adorable.

  8. She probably had the best dress out of all the Oscar outfits! I wasn't too crazy about most of them, either. I mean, a couple of them were pretty, but none had me gasping with delight or anything.

My mama bought Tangled the other day too! :D

  9. I love her style! The Prada dress {it's the stripy one} was featured in pretty much every magazine and paper here, and at first I was a little aghast at the colours. But then I realised, "wow! This girl is just a few months older than me and she's so confident to wear colours that bright on the red carpet". Basically, my latest fashion icon.

  13. Ohmyword, this is crazy! But Georgie Henley wore the same dress that Hailee wore, in the pic where Hailee is wearing those tall red heels and is carrying the red clutch!!!!
Georgie wore that same dress at the Dawn Treader's Tokyo premiere this year, with Ben Barnes!!!!
    Wow. ;)

  38. I've never seen the re-make of True Grit, and only about 5 or 10 minutes of the original. :( But she is very pretty, and I love her Oscar dress. Cute! She looks like "Carolyn" in "High Society", which I watched again today. Really swell movie! I think you would probably like it. But I'm not sure if you should see "The Philadelphia Story" first, because after all, "High Society" is the musical remake of "Philadelphia Story". Both are amazing movies though. Philadelphia Story has some of my favorite actors: Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, and Katharine Hepburn, and High Society has more of my favorites: Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, and Frank Sinatra! How did I get on this ramble? Hm... Anyway, you should watch both movies, but watch Philadelphia Story first. :)
