Admit impediments.
Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out
even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever love.
~Shakespeare's Sonnet 116
Ooooh! I absolutely love that poem, and that movie! S&S ~ one of my all-time favorite films. An epic classic. <3 Beautiful post!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Miss Anna Olivia abover there! =)
ReplyDelete*cries*
ReplyDeleteOne of my very favorite films. And my favorite sonnet. Ever.
ReplyDeleteI love Shakespeare; I love Jane Austen; I love Kate Winslet. What can I say?
ReplyDeleteIf there's ever another Sense and Sensibility made, I want to be Marianne. And I want to say those words. :D Not that I could rival Miss Winslet. But I just love this story so much.
Love it! I recently watched this version of S&S about..3 weeks ago, and it was amazing! I love the story, and am reading the book. :) I love Jane Austen. It's so sad that in each of her books is some unfortunate heart-break before a {different} happy ending.
ReplyDeleteAnd Shakespeare can't be beat. ;)
Great post and pictures!!
