random loves

this shirt
I adore ruffles.
And the sky in heaven will be this color.
Sometimes the sky around here gets close, and I know that it is the color it was destined to be.
When I was little, I thought that sapphires were this color,
so all of my heroines in my stories had huge sapphire eyes.
I was heartbroken when I found out that they were boring old dark blue.
(wait... will there be sky in heaven?)

this sweater
I'm crazy about drapey necklines.

this coat
I love the sleeves.
these shoes
You know how I feel about ruffles.
And shoes with adorable lining just make. me. happy.
I have ones lined with leopard spots, plaid, red and white polka dots.

I'm pretty sure I would never buy an orange coat, because I would be all jumpy about what to wear it with. Which would mean I would never wear it.
Seriously, I have issues with orange. I like the color, but it's hard to combine.
orange and black--Halloween.
orange and pink--shoot me right now.
orange and red--um, shoot me again.
Once, a stylish friend who I love wore red Converse with orange laces.
I was shocked, horrified, and we nearly had a falling-out.
(we are still friends, however)
orange and brown--can be beautiful, but also can be sorta pumpkin patch-ish.
orange and green--amazing, provided the green is the right shade. Otherwise, again, pumpkins.
How do you feel about orange? Do you have any colors you love to mix it with?

Flats via Target

I ran across a super-cute shoe on the Target website, and then kept looking... and found a whole treasure trove of adorable, inexpensive flats. I know that Target shoes aren't going to be very high-quality,
but that's not a problem for me if they are only $13 to $20!

I love the teal, although sometimes it's hard to match, so I probably wouldn't wear them very often.

I would totally wear these. Possibly every day.

I'm a little jumpy about the large flower... I have a feeling I wouldn't like it on my foot.
But it would be just the cutest thing ever if it was a little smaller.
Wouldn't this be darling with a grey dress?
Love.

I want to dance all night in these shoes.

Unusual, but cute. And shiny!

Understated and demure.

These would be so handy to have around,
because I need casual black flats to go with all of my
zany black and purple/black and pink/etc tights.

Love, love, love these ruffles.

Fashion Hates: Ankle Boots

I can't stand this trend.
Ankle boots are everywhere! As if finding cute boots wasn't hard enough,
what with most of them being super-high-heeled, super-pointy-toed,
not fitted enough, too fitted, or varying other creative styles of horrific...

Now we have this monstrosity.

Fred Meyer is my friend again.

I went shopping yesterday, and bought things. It's been awhile since I've done that.
And it felt so good.
We went to Fred Meyer, which I am mad at, since last time I went everything I wanted to buy was super expensive, even on "clearance." >:-( But this time, things were actually on good clearance, and I got stuff.

I got the white sandals pictured above, which makes me really happy, because I have been watching them for a long time, and they finally got down low enough (on clearance) that I could buy them!

And I got a really cute pink shirt with black roses on it, which I found on the same rack as a bunch of Twilight shirts (click here for my views on those). AND I got black and white paisley flip flops.
I am happy.

Fashion Hates: Shoes

Crocs

Everyone says they are comfortable.  I like to quote my friend Ellen. "If your shoes are comfortable, they're not cute enough!"
Besides being cloggish and ugly, they are expensive! That bugs me.
They are okay for gardening, maybe. If you garden alone.

Baby crocs are okay. Especially when they have cute fuzzy stuff in them.

Ugg boots.
I feel like the name would sorta give the hint.
Yuck, yuck. Clunky, bulby, icky.
Depending on what they are worn with. Ocassionally they might look half-okay. But not often.

Gladiator sandals.
A few of them are okay, but overall, I really, really can't stand this trend. And they are SO popular. Gah.
Besides the fact that: Gladiators: big hunky men who killed each other in Roman times. And we went to copy their style because...?
I will be so happy when this fad is over. I'm gonna go hibernate until it's over, okay? Come and wake me up when they are gone.

pink shoes

I just found some pink shoes I wanted to share with you, because I love them.

Prada shoes. On sale for only $496.80 on Bluefly. Gack.
And I think they are adorable, but a bit too high. They would make me like, 6'5.

KiK's Lilly . Only $34
I think I would wear these.

Adorable! Only $22.50 at Charlotte Russe.
I would definitely wear these! But they are a little high for me, also. :-(

And these are only available at some British website for 12 pounds. ;-)

Shopping!

Today I went to Fred Meyer and got a red v-neck Energie t-shirt, sunglasses, and these earrings.

Hot pink earrings!

Awesome red shoes! I love the polka dots in the lining. :-) I bought these for only $15 at Trend Shoe in the mall, last week. I love them.

Sheesh. Now I know why people put tiny shoes on display--these 8.5 shoes long gruesomely long in these pictures...
