ReplyDeleteI loved Leap Year. And then there's Pride and Prejudice. And then there's Alice in Wonderland, because in my mind she goes back to Underland and marries the Mad Hatter, making for a perfect love story and a beautiful ending.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can't wait until the Hunger Games is made into a movie, cause it's total love story.
AND Anne of Green Gables! Gilbert is my fictional boyfriend. :)
...I'll stop here.
Well, yeah, I follow.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I love this beautiful stuff!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch many romances! I'd have to say Anne of Green Gables, like Katie!

My favorite love story is that of a friend of mine. The day he saw her, he knew they were going to get married. He had never talked to her before, but he went up to her and asked "Do you eat?" to get her on a date with him. And they lived happily ever after ;)

hmm. May favorite love story is actually within my own family. My brother John and his wife Julie both worked at disney world in orlando and were dancers in the beauty and the beast show. She was belle and he was the prince, seriously. After working together they started dating and fell in love, followed by their marriage. They danced to the beauty and the beast song at their wedding and to this day have the strongest Christ centered relationship I've ever seen. :)
ReplyDeleteFavorite love story is in the movie North and South - love the ending!

ReplyDeleteWell, I would say Pride and Prejudice because Darcy and Lizzie are just plain epic, but I'm not going to do that because that's too "follow the crowd" style (lol) so I must say that one of my all-time favorite love stories is Persuasion. My favorite version is the newest one by BBC A&E. I LOVE the letter she gets at the end of the film. *happy sigh*

I love "The Last song" !!
ReplyDeleteI follow!
ReplyDeleteI guess my favorite love story is not quite a love story actually. I really like "500 Days of Summer", because it captures the essence of falling in love so well, and it's realistic at the same time. I guess for a pretty not-romantic person like me, it gave me hope to love. It's a beautiful portrayal of what falling in love means and how life sometimes makes us fall out of it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!

ReplyDeleteFavorite love stories...
ReplyDeleteOf course there's Jane Austen (Emma and Mr. Knightly are my favorite, but they're all good!) and I love North and South too. I think Esther in the Bible is God's romance novel and it's very romantic in my imagination (all that Persian texture and color...). And you can't forget the Scarlett Pimpernel!
For my favorite, I'm going to say the romance of Hub and Jasmine in Secondhand Lions. The scene where they meet on the beach in the sunset and it's love at first sight makes me cry every time.
Also, I think Hannah and Joseph's story is up there for most romantic! ;-)
I don't know what it is about your blog, but I read every post without fail and if I have several new posts to read in my blog subscriptions, yours is the one I read first (and only if I don't have much time). So yes, I'm a follower. I really like the cherry blossom necklace!

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite love stories is probably...oh i don't know. haha...um.. Oh, I know-- in The Ultimate Gift. I love seeing how the two of them in that story grow to love each other through their struggles.
ReplyDeleteThe story of God’s love for me (and fellow Christians) is to be my favorite true love story of all times. I also really like the story of Ruth. Another true love story I adore is that of my parents.
ReplyDeleteOh my, there are way too many fictional love stories that I love! Ella Enchanted is one of my favorite books, Anne of Green Gables, the part of Little Women with Jo and Mr. Bhaer, Leap Year, Beauty and the Beast, and oh so many more! I guess I’m just a fan of love stories in general.

ReplyDeleteOne of my very favorite romances is between Laura Hunt & Mark Dixon (Gene Tierney & Dana Andrews) in 1944's Laura! Mark is a detective trying to solve the murder of a beautiful girl, and he falls in love with her portrait. Of course, she's not really dead, and they end all happily ever after. It's very sweet and understated and utterly perfect. And Gene Tierney wears some of the prettiest clothes of the 1940s, as well as some slightly odd hats. I quite literally could go on all day about it!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I follow you! I don't comment a ton, but I almost always read your posts and drool over your gorgeous photos. And a very Happy Valentine's Day to you Miss Polka Dot!;D
ReplyDeleteMy favoite love story would have to be the one in that movie called "Letters to Juliet"!
